The Life of a Disciple: Progressively Sanctified

God does not intend for the life of a disciple to stand still. A disciples life is meant to be one that is progressively moving away from sin and toward Christlikeness or holiness. That movement is what the Bible calls "sanctification."

It is a work of the indwelling Spirit Applying the Word of God.

The Holy Spirit uses the Word of God to progressively move me away from sin and conform me to the image of Christ. Therefore, I must regularly and consistently and increasingly take in the Word of God, allowing the Holy Spirit to do His transforming work.
